Spring Hill College

Spring Hill College is the oldest college in Alabama, the first Catholic college in the Southeast, and the third oldest Jesuit college in the United States. Spring Hill was founded in 1830 by Bishop Michael Portier and is located at the highest point in Mobile. Spring Hill College received its Circle K charter on March 30, 1994 with the help and support of Pedro Perez (Club President), Daniel Haddard (Club Secretary), Dr. Robert Heiner (Faculty Advisor), Ted Autterson (Kiwanis Advisor), and Azalea CIty Kiwanis. Today, the Azalea City Kiwanis supports our vast activities and ideas with Ted Autterson as our Kiwanis Advisor. Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita displaced many of our members and since then we are slowly but surely rebuilding our club. We have 20 paid members and have put on a Sidewalk Chalk Contest and a Penelope House Pantry Raid. We hope to participate in more local, district, and international events in the coming years.
